Donut Factory

Today, I'm deviating just a bit from Hwy 99/Aurora proper. Because you can see this place from Hwy 99, I'm including it. Also because it's damn good.

Donut Factory's case features these Red Velvet beauties.

Donut Factory has some of the best donuts I've enjoyed in the Puget Sound. I'm not a fan of Top Pot (too sweet) although I don't mind Mighty-O, even if they are vegan. Popular donuts include blueberry, buttermilk and Bavarian cream-filled creations, which run about $1.30 each or $12/dozen.

Unusual donuts include cro-bars (croissant-donuts), Oreo crumble, and my favorite, French crullers, which are light and eggy. Fancy donuts cost more, from $2.30 to $3.30 each.

The interior is a bit sparse. But the service is excellent.

There's wifi here, so theoretically, you could donut all day. Yes, I just used donut as a verb. I plan to donut here often.

Above, clockwise from upper left: cinnamon & sugar donut, peanut covered with Ferrero Rocher, vanilla cruller and chocolate with coconut sprinkles.

The only inedible donut here. But so cute.

The shop also makes birthday donuts, spelling out names or "happy birthday" with letters, which sounds like the best idea ever. So now you know what to get me for my birthday next year.

Let's donut soon.
